In this new edition of the PhotoFlash from the Readers' Photos section of La Vanguardia, I have captured charming corners of Valderrobres, in Teruel, considered one of the most beautiful villages in Aragón.
Through narrow alleys full of history, we delve into the heart and capital of Matarraña, where the river that gives its name to this Aragonese region flows.
The historical and artistic heritage of Valderrobres, mainly Gothic, has led to its designation as a Cultural Heritage Site.
The Church of Santa María la Mayor, built in the 14th century, stands out mainly for the rose window on its façade. The town is also notable for the castle, which forms an architectural ensemble with the church and features a spacious walled courtyard.
The Town Hall is in Mannerist style. And the medieval bridge over the Matarraña River offers beautiful views of this Aragonese town, as we can see in this photo gallery.
